The Wren's Nest
The Wren’s Nest is the historic home of author, journalist, and folklorist Joel Chandler Harris, best known as the recorder of the Brer Rabbit folktales. Designated as a National Historic Landmark, The Wren’s Nest is Atlanta’s oldest house museum and a cultural center that preserves the art of African, African American, and indigenous oral storytelling traditions. Through guided tours, storytelling performances, special events, and educational programs, The Wren’s Nest cultivates the next generation of readers and writers and celebrates contemporary forms of self-expression.
