Swing 46 Jazz and Supper Club

Swing 46 Jazz & Supper Club, located on historic Restaurant Row in New York City’s Times Square, has been entertaining audiences with the best in Big Band, dancing, and fine dining since 1997. Over the years, Jazz fans from around the world have patronized the nostalgic club, legendary swing dancers such as Frankie Manning, Norma Miller, and Dawn Hampton graced our dance floor for years, and revered tap dancers including Buster Brown, Gregory Hines, Maurice Hines, and Savion Glover hosted the longest running weekly “Tap Jam” at this beloved venue.

In addition to providing a home to local bands, dance teachers, and dance performers, Swing 46 has become a beloved tourist destination, welcoming jazz fans, musicians, and social dancers from around the world.

Today, the club is owned and managed by John Akhtar who is dedicated to keeping the mission of Swing 46 alive. He’s a big admirer of American born music from the 1940s & 50s. That’s part of the experience one enjoys from the moment you enter, with LIVE bands (hand selected by John and his managerial staff).
