Maureen P. Medina
Maureen has served marginalized populations for over 15 years in multiple capacities and is a Certified Adult Mental Health First Aid Instructor. She is certified in both Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid, has certificates for The Biology of Trauma & Healing and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and has studied over 100 hours (& counting) of courses on mental health, somatic healing, and therapeutic art.
Maureen, the author of My Fears Out Loud, holds generative writing workshops that incorporate somatic expression & foster a sense of safety & agency to explore the full human experience. She believes that we must bear witness to ourselves & the world at large in order to heal individually & collectively.
