Gerly's Ice Cream

Gerly Adrien is an inspiring figure, dedicated to both community service and entrepreneurship. Her journey from being the first Black, Haitian-American female City Councilor At-Large for the City of Everett to becoming a small business owner of Tipping Cow Ice Cream, now named Gerly’s Ice Cream demonstrates her commitment to building wealth and uplifting others. Despite facing challenges, including being asked to resign due to her advocacy for marginalized communities, Gerly continues to champion causes related to people of color, education, equality, and housing rights. Her academic achievements, including a Bachelor of Science from Bentley University and an MBA from Boston University, coupled with her role as a Global Strategy Professor at Bentley University, highlight her passion for education and empowerment. Gerly's dedication to providing nut-free and dairy-free options at her ice cream shop, along with the accolades received by the brand Tipping Cow Ice Cream, including awarded Boston Magazine's Best of Boston 2020 for Best Ice Cream, Food Network Magazine and others, showcases her commitment to quality and inclusivity in both her business and community endeavors.
