Association for Women in Architecture Foundation

The Association for Women in Architecture Foundation (AWAF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to advancing and supporting women in the allied fields of architecture and design. Established in 1997, the organization raises funds to promote high levels of achievement through a robust awards program, including scholarships for female students, fellowships for mid-career professionals, and grants to like-minded organizations that support women and girls at all stages of their design careers.

To date, more than $250,000 in awards have been distributed, representing important educational and leadership support to women in design. Becoming a design professional is a long and challenging journey, so both individuals and corporations can play an important role in furthering the AWAF mission through donations or participation in events.
