Ratings and Reviews
Community Guidelines

Attendees can submit ratings and reviews for events attended after the event occurred. When submitting ratings or reviews about Creators or Events or responding to reviews on Events you have hosted, the ratings, reviews, and responses must comply with our Terms of Service, our Community Guidelines, and the following rules:

  1. Personal experience: You can only rate and review events that you've actually attended through Eventbrite. We want to hear about your firsthand experience with the event on our platform, not what you heard from someone else.
  2. Accuracy: Make sure your review is factually correct. Feel free to air your opinions, but don't exaggerate or misrepresent your experience.
  3. Relevance: Your reviews must be relevant and appropriate to the forum. You should only post reviews of the events themselves. Reviews aren't the place for:
  • Complaints about circumstances that are outside the control of the event creator (such as weather, traffic, third-party technical issues on virtual events, etc.)
  • Advertising or selling your own products or services in a review
  • Complaints about a creator’s employment practices, political ideologies, extraordinary circumstances, or other matters that don't address the core of your experience at the event
  1. Quid Pro Quo: Your contributions must be unbiased and objective. For example, you should refrain from rating or writing reviews of your own event or the events of your peers or competitors in your industry. Creators must not compensate attendees for positive reviews or ratings or the removal of reviews or ratings. Similarly, Creators must not compensate attendees for submitting negative reviews or ratings on other events. Compensation could include a free or discounted ticket, free or discounted merchandise, or any other form of benefits.
  2. Inappropriate content: Do not post reviews or responses to reviews that contain threats, bullying, lewdness, spam, profanity, encouragements of violence or self-harm, hate speech, or other displays of bigotry.
  3. Privacy: Don't publicize your own or other people's private information (phone numbers, email addresses, credit card information, etc.), and don't post other people's full names unless they are publicly disclosed.
  4. Intellectual property: Don't use content from other sites or users; you must write your own reviews.
  5. Demanding payment: Do not use removing or posting your rating or review as a way to extract compensation from an event creator.
