HSO's Forte! is hosting a networking event for music lovers in the Greater Hartford area. The happy hour will include a cash bar (1 drink ticket included with ticket purchase) and complimentary passed hors d'oeuvres.

At the conclusion of the happy hour (6:45pm), we will convene in the Belding Theatre to sit in on the dress rehearsal for our 7th Masterworks of the 2024-2025 season: Eroica & Four Seasons. The concert program is as follows:

  • Selections from Vivaldi, Le Quattro Stagioni, Op. 8
  • Selections from Piazzolla, Cuatro Estaciones Porteñas
  • Beethoven, Symphony No. 3 in E-flat major, op. 55 ("Eroica")

As a departure from the "usual," this concert will feature Julien Labro on the bandoneon (similar to an accordion) for the Vivaldi and Piazzolla selections.

What's the parking situation?

There are two free parking options: 107 Capitol Ave and 315 Buckingham St. 107 Capitol Ave is the open-air parking lot across the street from The Bushnell and 315 Buckingham St is the parking garage a short walk away. Please note that free parking in the parking garage opens at 5:30pm that evening.

When I get to The Bushnell, where do I go?

When you go through the box office, you'll go up the stairs or elevator to the third-floor lobby. We have the whole lobby reserved!

Are there other events at The Bushnell that evening?

Yes, the Connecticut Forum has an event in the Mortensen Theatre (the larger theater). Getting in early will ensure a great parking space.

What food and drinks will be provided?

Each ticket purchase comes with 1 drink voucher, good for any drink at the bar. After that, drinks are on you! There will also be complimentary passed hors d'oeuvres with vegetarian options.
