Hike this 4.6-mile loop trail near Boulder, Colorado. Generally considered a challenging route, it takes an average of 3 h 47 min to complete.

Trail Description:

- Distance: 4..6 miles RT

- Elevation Gain: 2,342 FT

- @ 8150FT

Difficulty: Rated Hard/Challenging on AllTrails

There is a bathrooms. You can bring your well behaving dog on a leash.

*The trailhead and access road are sometimes closed to vehicles during cooler months because of hazardous conditions with ice and snow. I will update weather, meeting and parking location a day before the event to all Eventbrite ticket holders.


Equipment:

-Microspikes for your boots, trail conditions depending

-Poles if you like


WHAT TO BRING:

-Your Ten Essential Systems (More information can be found here: https://www.rei.com/learn/expert-advice/ten-essentials.html)

-full supply of water for the day

-snacks/light lunch

-Dress warm & in layers

-Warm gloves & hat

-Boots/shoes with great traction

-A light backpack to put layers in as you shed them

-Handwarmers & toe warmers (optional)


**If temps are below 10 degrees (0 windchill) or trail closed for mud, the hike will be cancelled (using the ChildCareWeatherWatchTabel)**


** PLEASE NOTE: Ambassadors are not wilderness first aid certified. This is a casual get together for shared outdoor enthusiasts. Safety is a top priority; please plan accordingly.**


LIABILITY WAIVER: Friendly reminder that it is required to sign the e-waiver before attending your first Women Who Explore event.

Due to local guidelines and regulations, Women Who Explore will be limiting the number of attendees per event. Each member attending the event will be required to register through Eventbrite. In the event you successfully register, and then are unable to attend, please release the ticket so that another member may attend. EVENT GUIDELINES:

By registering for this event, participants agree to abide by the guidelines set forth by Women Who Explore which include:

Practice self-awareness and do not attend if you have had any flu-like symptoms, exposed to or have tested positive for Covid in the last 14 days.

Post-event: Anyone who develops flu-like symptoms within 14 days after joining an event should contact the ambassador and Women Who Explore at lindseyegan@womenwhoexplore.com.


CANCELLATION POLICY:

If you are registering for one of our group events, we ask that you are 100% committed to attending when you register. If you reserve a spot and are unable to attend, please cancel as soon as possible on Eventbrite. We ask that you try to cancel a minimum of 3 days prior to the day of the event as this allows other women who would like to attend the ability to plan to join us.
