WWE Denver: Spring Equinox Sunset Walk

Join us for a casual walk to celebrate the Spring Equinox and the new season! Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature as we take a leisurely stroll up to the top of North Table Mountain. We will enjoy the views of Golden, Denver, and the Front Range as we reflect on winter and look forward to spring and summer. There will be time to journal if you want, or just soak up the sun setting with some tea and a snack.

Trail Description:

-Lichen Peak Trail

-Distance: 1.6 miles RT

-Elevation Gain: 524 FT

-Difficulty: Rated Moderate on AllTrails

-Meet at North Table Mountain West Trailhead

WHAT TO BRING:

-Required Equipment: Microspikes in case there's recent snow/ice

-Suggested Equipment: Thermos of tea, binoculars, poles, nature journal

-Pack any water you might need for this shorter walk

-Pack snacks

-Dress warm & in layers - being closer to Denver check the current weather forecast for proper layers for the day. It can get really windy up there!

-Warm gloves & hat

-Boots/shoes with great traction

-A light backpack to put layers in as you shed them

-Handwarmers & toe warmers (optional)

** PLEASE NOTE: Ambassadors are not wilderness first aid certified. This is a casual get together for shared outdoor enthusiasts. Safety is a top priority; please plan accordingly.**

Due to local guidelines and regulations, Women Who Explore will be limiting the number of attendees per event. Each member attending the event will be required to register through Eventbrite. In the event you successfully register, and then are unable to attend, please release the ticket so that another member may attend. EVENT GUIDELINES:

By registering for this event, participants agree to abide by the guidelines set forth by Women Who Explore which include:

Practice self-awareness and do not attend if you have had any flu-like symptoms, exposed to or have tested positive for Covid in the last 14 days.

Post-event: anyone who develops flu-like symptoms within 14 days after joining an event should contact the ambassador and Women Who Explore at lilyurmann@gmail.com

CANCELLATION POLICY:

If you are registering for one of our group events, we ask that you are 100% committed to attending when you register. If you reserve a spot and are unable to attend, please cancel as soon as possible on Eventbrite. We ask that you try to cancel a minimum of 3 days prior to the day of the event as this allows other women who would like to attend the ability to plan to join us.
