Hosted by the Little Cities of the Forest and Central Ohio Chapters of the Buckeye Trail Association.
What: Celebrate Grandma Gatewood, a trailblazing woman and one of the founders of the Buckeye Trail, by joining us for the Annual Women's Work Day. This event is all about women supporting women in outdoor recreation and trail maintenance. Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or a first-timer, you'll learn basic trail maintenance skills, including how to blaze the trail and clear the trail corridor, all while enjoying a relaxed, supportive atmosphere. Tools and on-site training will be provided, with safety as our top priority. Meet other like-minded women and make a lasting impact on the Buckeye Trail, just like Grandma Gatewood did
What To Bring: Lunch, water, snacks, work clothing, insect repellant, sunscreen, boots. Tools will be provided.
Where: We will be meeting at Tecumseh Lake, just outside of Shawnee, Ohio.
When: Meet at Tecumseh Lake at 8:45am. The Safety Meeting starts at 9am and we will head out on the trail at 9:15am.
