What is the parking situation?

The metered street parking along Matteo is free on Sundays. There is also a paid lot just south of the venue. There is a small step into the building, so if accessibility might be an issue please contact president@awa-foundation.org

What wines will be served?

Specific wines are being selected by our wine enthusiast Katie McCormick of Vapiano Tours but will include a prosecco, two white wines and two red wines. For all wines printed materials will be available for reference and to take home.

What does the money from my ticket fund?

Accepted Answer

While a portion of funds raised goes to pay for the wine, food and staff for the event, the bulk of donations fund the Foundation's awards programs and operations. All donations are 100% tax deductible, so participating helps elevate women leaders and the amount of your annual tax deduction.

Question 4

Will there be food and water?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Italian-inspired charcuterie and water will be available throughout the event. We encourage educated tasting and exploration, not overconsumption. If you have any dietary restrictions we should be aware of, please email president@awa-foundation.org.

Can you tell me a little more about Katie McCormick and Vapiano Tours?

Katie's serious interest in wine began in Sonoma as an assistant winemaker and then distribution saleswoman of artisan wines from around the world for an independent, female-owned company. Strong connections with Italian winemakers and the country has led to a business leading tours in Italy.
