Welcome Back Spring! A Forest Therapy Experience
Come join us for a rejuvenating forest therapy experience at Town Forest Park! Guided by Liz Langevin of Through the Woods Wellness. Let's welcome spring together by immersing ourselves in the beauty of nature. Take a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life and connect with the peaceful surroundings of the forest and all of your senses.
The walk concludes by the pavillion where we will enjoy tea together.
Forest bathing is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku - taking in the forest atmosphere. As a growing global wellness movement, it is backed by nearly 40 years of scientific research on the holistic benefits of immersing yourself in nature. These benefits include reduced stress and blood pressure, increased creativity and focus, improved mood and sleep, and a boost to immune functions.
Folding stools are available for your use, or bring along your own stool or sit mat.
The walk is about 1-mile over moderate terrain.
Registration: $20~ includes the program and tea
