Join us for spring birding at Pointe Mouillee! Detroit Bird Alliance expert birders will lead you on a 4 - 5 mile hike on the dikes at Pointe Mouillee State Game Area. You could see White Pelicans, Northern Pintails, Northern Shovelers and other waterfowl. Other birds sometimes sighted on these walks are Eagles, Northern Harriers and Merlins.
Meeting Location: We will meet in the Sigler Road parking lot for Pointe Mouillee State Game Area. For navigational purposes, use 8456 Sigler Road, South Rockwood, MI 48179. The Sigler Road Parking Lot is on Sigler Road, just east of the intersection at US Turnpike Road (also called West Jefferson). The Sigler Road parking lot is the farthest north access point for Pointe Mouillee. There are parking lots farther south--we will not be there!
Please note there are no bathrooms.
