What is painting but our interpretation of light absorbing and reflecting off of objects. We will focus on color theory to translate what we see onto paper.

FOUR WEEK WATERCOLOR SERIES FOR BEGINNERS. We will focus on observing the world around us to capture light.

TOPICS

watercolor materials | color values | the color wheel | painting whites and blacks with watercolors

New skills, time for yourself, time to play. This is the main objective, to actually focus on the task at hand, as we did as children when we were so absorbed in the joy of discovering new things we lost tract of time. No multitasking. No cell phones. This will be like learning a new language, our hands will learn to move in new ways, our eyes and brain will learn to see objects in a new light. Good for the brain, great for the soul.

The class will focus on techniques that allow us to see the world in a way that allows us to paint a more realistic representation of what we see.
