Join us for an afternoon of service at Ira B. Melton Park. We’ll being removing overabundant privet from the native plant habitat and planting some new plants, if possible. As always, please dress for muddy conditions, bring drinking water, and plan to have fun. Wear long pants and appropriate footwear and bring a refillable water bottle. Bring work gloves, shovels, loppers, hand pruners, and kneeling pads.

Park location: 2080 Desmond Drive, Decatur 30033 (across from Park Lane).

Ranger Jonah McDonald is the DeKalb County Park Naturalist stationed at Mason Mill Park, which contains a 100-acre forest with a network of some of the nicest hiking and biking trails in DeKalb County.
