About this event

Are you struggling to set and maintain healthy boundaries in your relationships? Do you often find yourself people-pleasing or feeling drained? Join our supportive community to learn from other women like you how to establish and enforce boundaries that honor your needs and protect your well-being. Whether you're new to the concept of boundaries or looking to strengthen existing ones, this group is for you.

What to Expect:

  • Safe Space: A judgment-free zone to share experiences and feelings.
  • Education: Learn about the importance of boundaries and the impact of unhealthy boundaries.
  • Support: Connect with others who understand and can offer empathy and encouragement.
  • Skill-Building: Develop practical tools and strategies for setting and maintaining boundaries.
  • Empowerment: Gain the confidence to assert yourself and prioritize your needs.

Boundaries are essential for both personal well-being and healthy relationships. Boundaries help you value yourself and your needs. By setting limits, you demonstrate self-respect and show others that you deserve to be treated well. Healthy boundaries can also reduce stress, anxiety, and feelings of overwhelm.

Boundaries protect your emotional well-being and prevent burnout. Setting boundaries empowers you to focus on your goals and priorities. It allows you to pursue your passions and interests without feeling guilty or obligated. Lastly, Recognizing your needs and limits helps you understand yourself better. It enables you to make informed decisions and take control of your life. In essence, boundaries are like fences around your property. They define your space, protect your resources, and ensure that you are treated with the respect and consideration you deserve.

This group is hosted by the nonprofit organization &Rise which is a 501c3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower women and girls to be the ultimate versions of themselves no matter what adversities they've faced. We provide free mental health services as well as wrap around support to help survivors to heal and thrive after trauma and abuse. &Rise offers free weekly support groups that are 100% private, 100% confidential, and 100% supportive! Please note, this is not a therapy group but a peer-led community with trained professionals of women survivors supporting and talking with one another about their experiences and healing. We have an amazing group of ladies that are kind and know what you are going through. You do not have to suffer alone or suffer in silence, we are here for you! YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

Support groups can provide a number of benefits for survivors of emotional abuse, including:

A sense of community: Survivors of emotional abuse often feel isolated and alone. Support groups can provide a sense of community and belonging, where they can connect with others who have shared experiences.

Validation: In a support group, survivors can have their experiences validated by others who understand what they are going through. This can help to reduce feelings of shame and guilt.

Coping skills: Support groups can teach survivors coping skills to help them deal with the emotional and psychological effects of abuse.

Hope: Support groups can provide survivors with hope for the future. By seeing other survivors who have healed and moved on, they can learn that it is possible to overcome the effects of abuse and build a happy and healthy life.

Kindly note that for students or those requiring letters or signatures for observations, it is essential to inform the support group facilitator in advance and provide a minimum of one week for processing. We cannot ensure the issuance of letters or signatures within a timeframe shorter than 7 days. Additionally, please be aware of a $10 charge associated with attending our groups as a student.
