Virtual Alcohol Ink Illustrated Bookmarks: Mushrooms | Part 1/2

Create your own unique 2x8 inch pen-and-ink illustrated bookmark in this fun and whimsical *virtual* class! In part 1 of this class, illustrator Kristin of D. Prince Designs will demonstrate how to sketch out your bookmark in pencil. In part 2 on March 20th, we'll outline in pen, and apply/blend color with alcohol ink markers. Participants will be able to select their own color palette and mushroom styles from inspiration that will be provided. Get creative during this class and illustrate a colorful piece that you can admire every time you open your current read!

After you purchase your ticket, a Google Meet link will be sent to you.

Please Note: No later than 7 business days prior to the first class in this series, you will need to pre-order a materials pack at the link below. This pack will last you for up to 25 D. Prince Designs virtual illustration classes, or you can use the supplies to practice alcohol ink illustration on your own after class.

Once you receive your materials pack, prepare for this class series by:

  • Filling in the swatch card that came with your pack of alcohol ink markers so that you can easily reference the ink colors in your palette.
  • Removing a page from your sketchbook and cutting it down to 2 inches x 8 inches. Save the excess paper from this page as test paper.
  • If you'd like to add a ribbon to your bookmark later on, punch a hole at one end of your bookmark about 1/4 inch from the edge. (If you wish, you can order 1/4 inch ribbon in the color of your choice later on).
