About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Thompson is the GO-TO place for Trilliums in the spring - legend for its vast numbers. We'll see other natives, probably toadshade trillium, showy orchis, violets, star chickweed and others depending on temperatures in the preceeding weeks. We may also hear the songs of spring migrant birds, such as American redstarts, Cerulean warblers, Wood thrush, Scarlet tanager.

The trail is a bit challenging - narrow and often muddy, with standard stumps and rocks along with some relatively steep elevation changes.

Native plant expert Sally Anderson is the leader for this walk.
