Touching on riots, trans activism and artiststry, this tour will explore the resilience, struggles and communal spirit of San Francisco's Transgender District.

jj Dollarhide (he/him) is a trans masculine individual and San Francisco native who works in education and partners with other trans individuals to share their stories. Proceeds will make it possible to preserve additional trans history and storytelling.

How much walking is there?

The San Francisco Transgender District is 6 long blocks in the southeastern Tenderloin and crosses over Market Street to include two blocks of 6th Street. Our walking tour is designed to be accessible to most individuals who are able to navigate city streets.

What should I wear?

Participants should wear comfortable shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather. You may also want to bring a bag with snacks and water.
