About Dr. Tony Urbanek
Dr. Urbanek is a double degree Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He received his dental degree from Indiana University, a medical degree from Vanderbilt University and a master’s degree in Anatomy and Cell Biology from Indiana University. Coincident with his studies, he was awarded a two year research fellowship to study facial growth and development by the National Institutes of Dental and Craniofacial Research. He is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and has been the leading authority in treating TMD in Tennessee communities for over 40 years.
Dr. Urbanek developed and designed the Urbanek TMJ Device and Protocol. This patented and FDA approved non-surgical device fits in the roof of the mouth and is uniquely designed to allow only the front teeth to touch, leaving a small space between the back teeth.
