THERE IS HOPE - A Stage Play by Steve Grogan

Come join us for an unforgettable evening filled with drama, laughter, and inspiration! This is the FIRST PLAY that will be held at 344, so buy your tickets and come be a part of history!

TYPE OF EVENT: This play will be a hybrid of a traditional production and a staged reading. How so? That is easy to explain: (1) It will be like a TRADITIONAL production in that the cast members will have costumes, move around stage, and interact with each other and props. (2) It will be like a STAGED READING in that the actors may occasionally have their scripts in hand. There will also be a Narrator, who will read any stage directions (such as lighting cues) that cannot be accommdated at this venue.

STAY AFTER THE SHOW FOR REFRESHMENTS: There will not be an official "Q & A" portion of the day, but you WILL be able to mingle with the cast and talk to them.

ALL TICKET SALES WILL GO TO THE UPCOMING CAPITAL REGION FESTIVAL OF THEATRE: In June 2025, the Capital Region will experience the first ever "Capital Region Festival of Theatre." This will be a multiple-day, multiple-venue event celebrating the vibrant, diverse, supportive 518 theater scene. For more information about that, go here:

THE PLOT: After months of living like a hermit, Kevin Seward accepts a friend’s invitation to a party at a club. Not long after he gets there, a friend lets him know that his ex-girlfriend Lucy has arrived, so he decides to head out. At this point, the play splits into two stories: (1) his encounters with other partygoers in the present, and (2) flashbacks of his time with Lucy. By the time he reaches the first floor, the tension is so thick that the only way to cut it would be if he ran into her and faced his fear, but what would happen at such an encounter?
