About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

In fall 2024, a group of Ocean State Bird Club members joined Dan Berard for a private Sunrise Birding and Wildlife Tours trip to Panama. The focus of the trip was the amazing raptor migration, which did not disappoint! Raptors weren’t the only migrants as North American warblers, tanagers, and more joined mixed flocks of tropical species, all while being surrounded by amazing habitats, scenery, and of course trees and plants and many amazing mammals and other wildlife!

In this presentation, Dan Berard will share tales and photos of the trip and you’ll learn why raptor migration is so impressive in Panama, and be introduced to some of the birds, mammals, and more who call Panama home; even one bird species we saw that had never been recorded in the country before!!
