Adopting critical thinking and understanding how misinformation works has never been more important than it is today. In this webinar presentation Ben James will unpack Australia’s misinformation landscape, sharing insights, tips and tools from five years of working with social media platforms to limit the impact and spread of harmful content. Ben will highlight common misinformation themes and patterns identified through ongoing efforts to reduce harmful false narratives, including those that lead to radicalisation.

Ben is a journalist, editor and author with 15 years of experience working at news organisations in Australia and the UK. He has been editor of AAP FactCheck since February 2022, having previously worked across various News Corp titles.
