The Birth Center of NJ - Surviving Postpartum Workshop

Surviving Postpartum is a 1.5 hour class created to prepare families for the postpartum period also known as the 4th trimester.

During this class families can expect to learn:
- how to build a postpartum plan
- conduct a postpartum life assessment
- screen for potential pediatricians
- prioritize your mental health
- bond with your partner and maintain your intimacy
- practice proper self care
- monitor your health at home
- connect with local resources and more!

This class is being hosted by Alreema Vining, Certified Doula Practitioner & Newborn Care Specialist

Michelle Gabriel-Caldwell is the owner of Baby, Please Birth Services Agency LLC where Fertility, Birth, Postpartum and Bereavement Doula Services are offered. She is the Director of Education/Doulas at The Birth Center of NJ. Michelle is certified with The American Academy of Husband Coached Childbirth, DONA International and a National Black Doulas Association Instructor. She is also certified with Dancing for Birth. In addition, she holds certificates for the following trainings: Reiki (2) Practitioner, Nutrition Counseling, Lactation Educator, Spinning Babies, CPR, NRP, CAPPA Postpartum Doula. A full time chemical engineer, wife and mother of two children in college, she enjoys relaxing on the beach!
