Tatra Escape: Waterfalls (from Vienna)

The High Tatra Mountains boast Slovakia's most spectacular views and have been identified as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Join us on this easy 2-day escape discovering the roof of Central Europe.

On this adventure, we will head up to the "Jumping Waterfalls" near Štrbske Pleso, a popular recreational area in the very heart of the Tatras National Park (TANAP). Expect an enchanting trail through wild nature of untold beauty.

Note: The High Tatras are inhabited by wild deer, lynx, chamois and bears. While actual encounters are rare, it is mandatory to respect the environment and heed the National Park's safety rules at all times.

AGENDA DAY 1

• Meetup at Vienna Main Station (Wien Hauptbahnhof)
• Scenic train ride to the Tatras via Bratislava along the Váh river
• Change to funicular (mountain tram) for last section
• Hotel check-in
• Evening walk around Štrbske Pleso lake (~1½ hours)
• Traditional Slovak Dinner
• Home-style party with local snacks & drinks

AGENDA DAY 2

• Scrumptious buffet breakfast
• Hotel check-out (luggage storage available)
• Waterfalls hike with optional lunch break (~4 hours)
• Train ride back to Vienna, arriving past 10pm

Underway we'll have fun with ice breakers, discussion prompts and local trivia.

Price includes organization, train tickets, shared 4-star accommodation (gender-separated) with buffet breakfast, Slovak dinner with 1 drink, party snacks/drinks and friendly host. Optional lunch on day 2 is at your own expense.
