Meet CEO & Co-founder Neil Ransom from Thailand's Siamaya Chocolate. Thailand's first bean to bar chocolate. Taste Chocolate with Thai-inspired flavors!

"Inspired by Thai curries, fruits, and spices, Siamaya creates chocolate bars that are a delightful fusion of tradition and innovation. Think fried shallots, candied tomato, and Thai ginger all wrapped up in a rich, creamy chocolate bar."

Frequently asked questions

Is this a group that requires membership?

No, absolutely not! We are a casual gathering that likes to eat & talk chocolate, attend when it's convenient for you. RSVPs are required so that we can plan for the amount of chocolate to buy & space to set up.

I like to eat chocolate. But do I have to be an experienced taster?

No experience necessary! This group welcomes everyone who wants to eat chocolate & maybe learn a bit about it in the process. The purpose is to enjoy chocolate (& meet other people in the chocolate community, if you wish), not to become an official taster.

Is this a formal group? I'm tired & don't want more stress after a long day at work.

We invite you to sit back & relax. Eat chocolate. Enjoy the company of other chocolate lovers, if you wish. This group is intended to be informal, although we do schedule a speaker for each meeting to offer insights into the world of chocolate.

What is the background of this group? How did it get started?

Three chocolate friends who attended every DC Chocolate Festival since 2016 treasured the festival gatherings. They loved the community of chocolate lovers & decided in early 2019 to host meetings to connect regularly with other DC area chocolate fans. Harper Macaw is credited as the inaugural host.

Should I bring a drink?

We provide water but if you prefer to bring your own bottle of water, that's great, too.

Do I have to attend every meeting? I can't commit to that.

You are free to attend as many or few meetings as you wish. You simply RSVP via eventbrite to attend the meeting that matches your schedule
