Roots Hoot House Concerts is excited to present our 17th annual micro-fest we call SWAMP STOMP!

Swamp Stomp 17 will happen, rain or shine, on Saturday, June 14 at our usual West Kingston, R.I. location near the entrance to The Great Swamp. Headlining the event will be the DIESEL ONLY ALL-STARS led by Eric "Roscoe" Ambel & Jay Sherman-Godfrey (World Famous Bluejays) with a rig-rocking salute to both the Diesel Only Records label and its late founder, Jeremy Tepper. Joining them will be a rare apperarance by personal favorite, THE SCHRAMMS, as well as KEVIN GORDON with his power duo, from Memphis AMY LAVERE & WILL SEXTON, and Brooklyn-based rising Americana talent OLIVIA ELLEN LLOYD. Grounds will open at 12:30 pm (no earlybirds!) with music starting at 2 pm and continuing until about 9:30 or so. Enjoy what promises to be a truly satisfying day of rock & roll & twang at a beautiful property situated in the swampy, backwoods of West Kingston, RI.

Swamp Stomp is a BYO-everything event from beverages to provisions. One of the great side features of Swamp Stomp is the PIE SOCIALl! Bring a pie to the event and our Pie Social team sells slices from it with all proceeds going to the Rhode Island Food Bank. Additional information for Swamp Stomp 17 can be obtained by contacting Roots Hoot House Concerts via email at rootshoot@cox.net or by phone at 401-965-0833.

HISTORY of SWAMP SWAMP:

Begun in 2008, Swamp Stomp has brought the likes of The Sadies, The Mekons, T-Model Ford, Valerie June, The Waco Brothers, Bottle Rockets, The Silos, Marah, Lydia Loveless, Sarah Borges & Eric Ambel, Amy Rigby, James Mastro & The Gold Stars, Ha Ha Tonka, The Yawpers, The Vandoliers, Ruby Boots, Water Liars, JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound, JP Harris & The Tough Choices, Laura Cantrell, Kevin Gordon, Amy LaVere, Steve Wynn & the Miracle 3, Jason Hawk Harris, The Silks, Toy Soldiers, Eric Ambel, Patrick Sweany, Paul Burch, Girls on Grass, Cordero, Al Scorch, Mark Cutler, Wolff Sisters, Ward Hayden & The Outliers, Girls Guns & Glory, Dollar Store, The Linemen, Smith & Weeden, and Shacklehands to its beautiful locale in the wilds of West Kingston. Put simply, a GREAT and VERY FUN event.

SWAMP STOMP is an 18-and-over event and please, no pets. It will again be a BYOB/picnic event (i.e., bring whatever you'd like to eat or drink). All we ask is that you carry out whatever you brought in.

EVENT DO's & DON'T's:

First off, the location is a fairly large and sprawling yard.

DO bring your own chairs & blankets if you prefer to sit in the yard & listen to the bands. People will most likely be standing in the stage area.

DO bring your own provisions: food & drink and whatever cups, utensils, plates, etc. you may need. We are not supplying anything.

DO bring something to cart your garbage & bottles/cans out at the end of the event.

Absolutely DO bring your own mosquito repellent as it can get VERY buggy late in the day.

We recommend a flashlight as the road will be pretty dark when the show ends.

If possible, DO carpool as parking is on the road only.
