Join Melissa for a 2-mile hike and witness the spectacular view of the sun setting over the Hudson and the Tappan Zee Bridge.

Leashed dogs are welcome. Please bring water to drink and wear comfortable shoes.

This hike is at Rockwood Hall, DO NOT go to the main entrance. The parking lot is on Kendal Way off route 117, just after the intersection of Phelps and Regeneron. If the lot is full, you may park in the Phelps garage (free).

Gather at the kiosk at the top of the hill across the street from the parking lot.

In case of bad weather, the hike will be canceled; you will be notified at least 2 hours in advance.

Rockefeller State Park Preserve was created through several farsighted and generous gifts to the State of New York by the Rockefeller Family since 1983. It is designated as a “park-preserve” to highlight and protect its natural, historical, and cultural values. Its network of carriage trails wind through scenic forests, fields, and wetlands, which provide important habitat for native plants and wildlife. 

The Preserve Office and Gallery are open daily from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM and are located at 125 Phelps Way, Pleasantville, N.Y. 10570.
