Suicide LOSS Support Group Facilitator Training
Join us for a special 2-day training (May 16 & 17, 2025 from 8:30 A.M. -4:00 P.M.) to become a facilitator for our Suicide LOSS Support Group. This in-person training event, hosted by Mental Health Recovery Services Board Serving Coshocton, Guernsey, Morgan, Muskingun, Noble & Perry counties and will be held at 1500 Coal Run Rd, Zanesville. Learn how to provide support, guidance, and a safe space for individuals who have lost someone to suicide. Gain valuable skills and knowledge to help others navigate through their grief journey.
Purpose: a training to equip professional and lay caregivers of the bereaved by suicide. A support group that brings loss survivors together provides a connection among fellow loss survivors which can feel like a lifeline. “Someone gets me?!”
Audience: Mental Health professionals and suicide loss survivors who are two+ years out from their loss interested in learning Dr. Alan Wolfelt’s closed-group model of support group facilitator for loss survivors. This is open to existing loss survivor support groups interested in learning a new model.
