Join the City of Takoma Park for the second City Nature Challenge/ Bioblitz of Stuart Armstrong Pollinator Arboretum. This wooded azalea garden is transforming into a site dedicated to the role of pollinators in our wooded sites. Come see the progress that has been made as you help document all wild living things at the site.

Are dogs allowed?

Please leave your dogs behind. We need to limit disturbances to the organisms we are trying to observe

Can I leave early?

Yes, you do not need to stay for the full hour but we do ask that you arrive for the start of the event.

I can't make it on the 26th, is there another way to participate?

Yes, we encourage observations at Circle Woods throughout the year. iNaturalist is a citizen scientist tool that helps to track plants, insects, animals, ect.

What do I need to bring?

Closed toe shoes, a smartphone with an iNaturalist account, binoculars.

How will we be documenting our observations?

We will be using the iNaturalist App for smartphones. Please have the app loaded, with an account set up before arriving. https://www.inaturalist.org/

Are kids allowed?

Kids are allowed to attend with adult caregivers. iNaturalist requires app users to be 13 years old, but participants can pair up to make observations.
