About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

For this portion of our streambank series, we will partner with Wendy Patoprsty of Blue Ridge Conservancy. We will work to restore a section of streambank along the Middle Fork of the South Fork of the New River, adjacent to the new Middle Fork Greenway. We will be planting plants that were donated to us last fall that include many flowering native shrubs and perennials. We will also be planting livestakes. This course will give you a chance to put into practice some of the principals discussed in the classroom session. The restored creekbank will be in an accessible area where you can view the progress for years to come.
