Lincoln Famlies is sponsoring "Strategies to Support Youth Experiencing Loneliness." Many system-involved youth and transitional age youth experience loneliness. For many, separation from family, placement moves, and COVID have heightened the loneliness. Join us for a training to discuss the epidemic of loneliness and learn how to support youth struggling with it.

Please note that in order to register for these free trainings you must be staff, caregiver or volunteer working directly with foster, adoptive or probation involved children, youth and their families in Alameda, Solano, Mendocino, Lake, Contra Costa, Humboldt, Tuolumne and Calaveras only. Participants outside of these areas aren't eligible.

This training is being facilitated by Dr. Kaitlyn Saulman of Klasey Consulting LLC. You can learn more about Klasey Consulting at www.klaseyconsulting.com

The learning objectives are:

  • Participants will be able to identify at least one characteristic of loneliness
  • Participants will be able to acquire skills to increase their ability to talk with youth about loneliness
  • Participants will be able to identify at least 1 strategy to support youth experiencing loneliness

Dr. Kaitlyn Saulman is a licensed clinical psychologist and has worked with youth and young adults from a variety of backgrounds. She currently provides short-term and trauma-informed therapy to young adults and adults struggling with trauma, sexual well-being, depression, anxiety, adjustment to college, interpersonal relationships, and identity development.
