Join our Marine Educator to make SEAd Bombs to take home for Earth Day! You will be learning about the importance of coastal flowering species and their relationship to pollinators while learning the ins and outs of sead bomb making. These seed-packed soil balls can be thrown in your backyard, around the neighborhood, or gifted to a friend to spread love in the form of flowers this Earth Day.

Please wear clothes that you are ok with getting dirty. We encourage you to register as a Back to the Bays Steward beforehand which you can do at this link. We look forward to seeing you, and thank you for your participation!

Cornell Cooperative Extension Marine Program has been “giving back to the bays” since 1985. As regional leaders in all aspects of coastal and marine research and restoration on Long Island, we have been able to make significant progress in enhancing the health of our local waterways. Through the Back to the Bays Initiative we work at the community level with local supporters and stewards to provide meaningful opportunities for involvement in this important work.
