About this event

  • Event lasts 4 hours

Zoom in close–what do you see? Join educators from the Lewis Latimer House Museum as we celebrate the work of Ethnobotanist, Dr. Isabella Abbott, the first Native Hawaiian woman to receive a doctoral degree in any scientific field. We’ll use microscopes to explore the differences between natural objects and use our observations as inspiration to create vibrant watercolor cards in honor of the women who make a difference in our lives and communities!

STEAM Saturdays at LLH are free events, open to all ages and abilities, that feature a hands-on activity, a family-friendly scavenger hunt, and self-guided tours. Drop in any time between 12PM - 4PM! Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
