Duration: Single-day session, 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Age Requirement: Children 10-12 yrs.) Step into the enchanting world of puppetry with Puppetopia. We explore the magic, history, and artistry of puppets. Participants will learn about the origins and evolution of various types of puppets, from shadow puppets of Southeast Asia to the iconic marionettes of Europe. Children will get hands-on experience designing and creating their own puppets. The day culminates in a collaborative puppet show, where kids bring their creations to life with stories and performances. Pending availability, special guest presenters provide a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the art of puppetry. Children may also enjoy an in-person and/or interactive virtual presentation featuring professional puppeteer(s) ensuring for an unforgettable journey into Puppetopia!
