Spring Break Y2K [90-10s Hits]

It’s mid-March. Being an adult is exhausting. So we decided to create an event to transport us back to simpler times when MTV had music videos and you got an entire week off to hang out with your friends on Spring Break.

To do so, we’re going to a 3-story club in the Lower East Side where many of made fond, but hazy memories. We'll have 3 DJs going all night playing nostalgic hits from the 90s through 2010s along with other special performances.

What To Expect

It's a Matinée event, so you can expect to have a wild night that ends at 10pm surrounded by a beautiful crowd of seasoned aka Millennial(ish) party people.

Also, we serve pizza throughout the night included with your ticket.

The Venue

We're hosting at the venue that gave us so many memories in our 20s – Hotel Chantelle. For those unfamilar, it's a 3-story venue in the Lower East Side.

We're pumped about it for a few reasons...

• The 3 floors allows us to have 3 different DJs with different vibes on each floor.
• It was the first venue to ever give our founder a DJ residency in the city, so it's peak nostalgia.

The Music

This party will be a hit-forward, open format musical event. The DJs will roughly stick to the following formats.

• Basement: High-energy mostly 2010’s club vibe (EDM, pop mostly)
• Middle Floor: 90-00s hip-hop & R&B
• Rooftop: Wildcard – But likely summer throwbacks, indie dance, alternative

The Dress Code

It’s Y2K Spring Break. Dress accordingly. Tropical prints. Linen. Going out tops. Pick your poison. Just nothing too casual.

Table / Group Reservations

You can reserve tables through Eventbrite by purchasing the Table Reservation tickets for everyone in your group.

On top of the tickets, this reservation requires 1 bottle purchase (plus tax + tip) per every 4 people in your group. ($375 is the lowest bottle price.) If your group has 5-7 or 9-11 people, the bottle requirement rounds up.

You will select your table upon arrival. It can be on any floor. First come, first serve.

About Matinée

Love to party, but also love a good night’s rest? (Looking at you millennials 👀)

With Matinée, you can have both.

It’s a “night time” dance party that lets you have a wild night out…and be home by 11pm.

The party starts at 5pm, peaks at 8, over at 10. Oh and we serve pizza around 7pm to give you a second wind.

The Matinée Mission

Nightlife pretty much only caters to 20 somethings. Matinée wants to change that.

We’re working to create a space where our fellow Millennials and beyond can step away from adult responsibilities and let loose for a while – creating memories with old friends and hopefully make some new ones.
