Help the American Red Cross save lives through our SOUND THE ALARM campaign!
Please join us for a National Sound the Alarm event to install smoke alarms in our region's signature city on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 10 AM to 2 PM.
We will be sharing fire-safety tips and installing free smoke alarms throughout Scranton, PA. Everything is provided -- equipment, supplies, training (no prior experience needed), even light snacks & lunch. You will be working alongside experienced Red Cross volunteers, local fire department personnel, community leaders, and more -- and all are welcomed to join the fun including businesses, faith-based institutions, community groups, friends, families & individuals. Children and teens under 18 can participate with a parent or guardian.
