The Speakeasy Jam started as an underground, invite-only jam session at Sloan School of Music. With the intent of networking experienced local musicians, the jam focuses on on-the-spot arrangements and improvised solos. Most of what you’ll hear is unrehearsed and improvised. For a lot of the musicians, it will be their first time playing together. Bringing some Soul, Funk, and R&B to the night is our featured band East Coast Stroke. This 12 piece horn band plays everything from Chicago to Bruno Mars. We hope you’ll join us for a night of Rock, Blues, Soul, and whatever else might happen! If you’re interested in performing at a future Speakeasy Jam please come as an audience member and introduce yourself at the merch table. We keep a list of musicians to invite on stage for the next one.
