Join us at an exciting and empowering camp at the Shenandoah River State Park in Bentonville, VA. Our Advanced Fly Fishing Camp is perfect for young women who previously attended the novice camp and want to increase their skills and knowledge in a supportive and fun environment.
If you have your own rod, reel, and tools and have experience casting a line, please consider joining our camp. There's always something new to learn and new friends to meet.
Check-in is Sunday July 6 at 11am, and check-out is Thursday July 10 at 4pm. During this 5-day/4night event, campers will have the opportunity to connect with other like-minded young women while exploring the beautiful Shenandoah River State Park. Our experienced instructors will introduce you to advanced casting techniques, designing and tying your own flys, gear maintenance, building your own leader/tippet, and advanced knot techniques. Watershed conservation education and water quality evaluation are also a big part of our camp.
This camp is for young women, ages 12-18. The registration fee includes lodging, and all meals and snacks. The campers will use the tool lanyards and rod/reel kits received ina previous SRW camp. At this camp, they will receive additional gear that will be used during the week and becomes theirs at the end of camp. Full scholarships are available upon request at shen.reel.women@gmail.com.
