As part of the third edition of the Princeton French Film Festival, you're invited to the screening of multi-award-winning "Amour" (2012) by Michael Haneka followed by a Q&A with film editor Monika Willi who was awarded an Academy Award for Best Film Editing for Tár. Featuring world-class actors, including Isabelle Huppert, Emmanuelle Riva, and Jean-Louis Trintignant.


Practical information:
Open to everyone upon registration. In French with English subtitles, the screening will start at 5:00 PM on Friday, March 30th, 2025, and will last approximately 130 minutes. Followed by a 30-minute conversation with Monika Willi. Doors open at 4:45 PM.


Synopsis:
Retired music teachers Georges (Jean-Louis Trintignant) and Anne (Emmanuelle Riva) have spent their lives devoted to their careers and to each other. Their relationship faces its greatest challenge when Anne suffers a debilitating stroke. Though Georges himself suffers from the aches and infirmities of old age, he bravely ignores his own discomfort to take care of his wife, and is determined to keep his promise to her that she never go back to the hospital.
