A Roadmap for Applying Reading Science Across All Tiers | 10:45 am -11:45 am
Teri Boezinger, Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Fort Dodge Community School District in Fort Dodge, IA, will highlight her district's science of reading journey. This will include insights on professional development, the integration of evidence-based resources, and their successful implementation to foster confident, proficient readers.

A Leadership Guide to Literacy Transformation | 12:45 am-1:45 pm
Sarah Mwangi, Assistant Superintendent, and Libbie Burd, Coordinator of Elementary Curriculum, both from Joplin Schools, will present the district’s literacy transformation. The pair will discuss efforts to strengthen foundational literacy skills by providing key professional learning initiatives, and aligned core instruction and tiered interventions. Attendees will learn the strategies they used to overcome challenges and lessons that led to meaningful improvements in student outcomes.
