Join Metro Bike Share on a Community Ride in celebration of Earth Month! On this intermediate ride, we’ll roll through Griffith Park- one of LA’s most treasured natural spaces. The ride will begin at Rowena & Hyperion Station located in Los Feliz. We will ride on shared roads, and onto a shared bike lane going towards Griffith Park, where we take in many scenic locations and enjoy nature in a quiet setting. This is an out-and-back semi-flat route for intermediate riders!

If you would like to use a Metro Bike Share bike at no cost, please reserve an "I need to borrow a bike" ticket when you register. You must be 16+ to ride a Metro Bike.


RIDE INFO

Start and End: Rowena & Hyperion Station

Length: 8.6-mile round trip bike ride on semi-flat streets primarily utilizing shared bike lanes.

Experience Level: This route is great for intermediate riders, those used to biking, and those looking for different ways to explore Los Angeles (Must be able to ride 3 miles on a bicycle on rolling hills). An adult must accompany children at all times; no training wheels are allowed. Children in trailers/child bike seats are welcome on personal bikes.


Getting There:

  • Parking: Metered parking and paid parking are both available on-street and at the Rowen & Hyperion Station

What to Bring:

  • A functional bicycle or wheeled device (highly recommended with gears) if you would prefer to provide your own. We do not have a mechanic on the ride and recommend you carry your own tire repair kit.
  • Hand sanitizer
  • TAP card or money for fare if you plan to use the Metro bus or train ($1.75 per ride)
  • A helmet (If you do not have one, one will be provided free of charge)
  • Water bottle

Safety Protocols:

We will be observing strict safety protocols during the ride to ensure the safety and comfort of all participants. Please keep in mind the following rules while attending the ride:

  • If you are feeling sick or unwell, please stay home.
  • Metro Bike Share will provide helmets, water, and ride marshals.
  • Participants are required to sign a release of liability. No exceptions.
