Join TreePeople & Southern Steelhead Coalition for a guided tour of the Upper Santa Clara River to learn about critical issues that impact the health of our watershed, including the endangered Steelhead Trout, invasive species, and wildfires. Special guest Elena Rios will also lead us in a nature therapy session while sharing her ancestral knowledge of the region. All attendees will be able to take home a packet of native chaparral wildflower seeds and Coast live oak saplings.

This is a family-friendly event, but be prepared to walk along the riverbed for approximately two hours.

*Meet at the parking lot at Duane R. Harte Park 26401 Riverrock Way, Santa Clarita, CA 91351

*We will walk a few minutes down the bike path and into the dry riverbed, so please wear long pants/sleeves/socks, comfortable walking shoes/hiking boots and expect some uneven terrain

*Bring water, sunscreen/sunhat, notebook/journal for notetaking and the nature therapy session if you'd like, snacks provided (bring your own if you have allergies)

*There are restrooms on site at the park

*Please leave pets at home, as there can be some prickly plants in this area

***Please register so we can plan accordingly
