The mountains of Jackson County are back in business after Hurricane Helene! Return to the mountains you love and help the Friends of Panthertown Valley culminate their month-long BioBlitz with a day hike in Panthertown Valley.

This hike will start at 9 a.m. from the Salt Rock Trailhead and utilize various trails to create a 5-mile loop. The hike will include several waterfalls, rock outcrops and scenic views. There is some climbing on this hike, making the challege moderrately difficult.

We will finish by 1 p.m. allowing hikers time to drive to nearby Cashiers for the Friends of Panthertown Valley BioBlitz Celebration. (Learn more here.)The celebration culmnates a month of hiking and collecting data on the ecologically diverse Panthertown Valley.
