About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

Hurricane Helene hit the popular trail network at Christmount Conference Center especially hard. While some trails have opened, a good deal of work remains. Join Black Mountain Parks & Recreation on one of two workdays clearing trail on the grounds.

For these trail workdays, Black Mountain Parks & Rec is partnering with Christmount to help them restore some of their trails that were damaged by Helene. No previous trail building experience is required. All trail tools will be provided. A complimentary lunch will also be provided after this program.

Registered participants will check-in at the Lakeview Centerin Black Mountain prior to this event to go over safety protocols. Once everyone is checked-in, we will carpool to Christmount and begin our workday. Minimum age to participate is 10.

Details on what to wear and bring will be provided upon registration.

There are two workdays. Space is limited and registration is required. To volunteer to help on Monday, April 14, go here, for Monday, May 5, go here.
