After teaching for 25 years in the Graphic Design Program, Professor Kelly Bryant will retire from Auburn University on July 1, 2025.

Kelly Bryant is a creative who is interested in the hands-on techniques of design and image making. She has worked as a design educator for 38 years and as a design professional in the areas of publication, book, identity, and logo design for over 35 years. Her academic research encompasses the mediums of collage and book arts. Currently, Kelly is a Professor of Graphic Design at Auburn University and has taught courses in Typography, Identity Design, Publication Design, Magazine Design, Illustration, Foundations Design, and Drawing. As a design educator, she was awarded the Silver Medal Award in Art Education from the Auburn Chapter of Tau Sigma Delta, The Gerald and Emily Leischuck Endowed Presidential Award for Excellence in Teaching, The Auburn University Mortar Board Excellence in Teaching Award, the Auburn University Alumni Undergraduate Teaching Award and the School of Industrial and Graphic Design Outstanding Faculty Teaching Award.

Kelly has received awards in the areas of poster, identity, and book design and has been published in several books and annuals, and her work has been exhibited in various exhibitions nationally. She has also been awarded the 2023 South Arts Alabama Fellow for Visual Arts and the Alabama State Council on the Arts Individual Artist Fellowship twice.
