What does reclaiming your identity mean to you at this point in your healing journey? In what ways has your identity been shaped or impacted by past experiences of trauma?

Join us for Reclaiming Identity After Trauma: An LGBTQ+ Affirming Workshop, a free virtual event hosted by Release Wellness NYC and led by D’Andrah Almanzar, LMSW.

Participants can expect a supportive and affirming virtual space to explore identity, healing, and empowerment after trauma, with a focus on LGBTQ+ experiences. The workshop will include guided reflections, community connection, and practical tools for reclaiming self.

D'Andrah Almanzar, LMSW (she/her) is a Social Worker who holds the role of Treasurer at Release Wellness NYC. Additionally, D’Andrah is a Licensed Psychotherapist specializing in Trauma, Grief, Women’s/LGBTQ+ Issues, and Anxiety/Depression.

Release Wellness NYC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing trauma-informed wellness and support for survivors. Our vision at Release Wellness NYC is that trauma survivors and immigrant communities are able to access resources, wellness classes and wellness services to experience healing, empowerment and support without experiencing financial burden. Our team is dedicated to providing a wide range of wellness services, workshops and community events to help survivors navigate their healing journey.
