Join Suleika Jaouad for a very special virtual workshop to celebrate the publication of her new book, The Book of Alchemy. The workshop will take place the day before publication—on April 21, 2025, at 7pm ET.
In this interactive workshop, Suleika will share how journaling has helped her tap into that divine, mystical trait that exists in everyone: creativity. She will lead us through some prompts to help us transmute the seemingly commonplace or difficult things in life into something precious, like gold.
You don't need any prior experience to join. This practice is for everyone! Please bring the writing materials of your choice.
To join, simply pre-order a copy of The Book of Alchemy from the retailer of your choice and submit proof of your purchase when registering.
This event will be hosted on Zoom and YouTube. The event experience is the same, but you can only turn on your microphone and camera in Zoom. Please pick the platform right for you when joining the event. Once the Zoom is full, you will be automatically directed to YouTube.

Yes! An event ticket counts as pre-ordering the book. When registering, please select Book Tour Event as your "retailer" and you can put your ticket number or order confirmation in as the receipt number. Please email pr@randomhouse.com if you have any questions.
Yes! The event will be recorded and shared with ticket-holders following the event. Please note, you do need to register for the event in advance of the event in order to receive the recording.
Yes! Closed captioning is available by clicking the CC button at the bottom of your Zoom or YouTube screen. Please email pr@randomhouse.com if you have any additional accessibility questions or concerns.
Yes! If you would like to just watch and engage in the chat, we encourage to join the Event using the YouTube link. Once space runs out on Zoom, you will be automatically directed to YouTube.
YouTube is great if you just want to watch and do the journaling prompts. You will not have your camera or microphone on. You will still be able to interact via the chat!
If you would like your camera on, please join the Zoom Meeting for the event. You will be muted, but have opportunities to turn on your microphone to share your work. You can also chat with other participants in the chat or submit questions in the Q&A box.
Once you register, you will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite. Please check your spam/junk mail if you do not see it. The Zoom link is in that email and will be in reminder emails before the event. You can also join by logging into Eventbrite using the same email you used to register.
Yes! If you pre-ordered multiple copies, you can register for additional tickets. Please note, each ticket must provide a unique proof of purchase (i.e. if you are buying two tickets, you must provide two receipt numbers).
