The PRINCE2 Practitioner is the advanced level certification within the PRINCE2 (Projects IN Controlled Environments) project management methodology. While the PRINCE2 Foundation level provides a fundamental understanding of PRINCE2 principles, themes, and processes, the Practitioner level focuses on the application of these concepts in real-world project scenarios.
A PRINCE2 Practitioner course is designed to provide project management professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to apply PRINCE2 principles, themes, and processes in real-world project scenarios. Unlike the PRINCE2 Foundation level, which focuses on understanding the framework, the Practitioner level emphasizes the practical application of PRINCE2 concepts.
PRINCE2 Practitioner examination is intended to assess whether a candidate can apply and tailor the PRINCE2 project management method (as described in the syllabus below). A successful Practitioner candidate should, with suitable direction, be able to start applying the method to a real project but may not be sufficiently skilled to do this appropriately for all situations. Their individual project management expertise, complexity of the project and the support provided for the use of PRINCE2 in their work environment will all be factors that impact what the Practitioner can achieve
