Before you start planting, let’s get organized! Whether you’re a first-time gardener or a seasoned pro, join us for an evening of expert insights, hands-on planning, and community connection with the Tusten Heritage Community Garden.
Featured Panel:
A short panel discussion featuring local gardening experts Leigh Allison of Project Meadow, Wanda Gangel of the Narrowsburg Beautification Group, and Anie Stanley of the Tusten Heritage Community Garden will share pro tips for preparing your garden for a successful season. Learn how to plan your space, select the right plants, and set yourself up for a thriving garden.
Hands-On Planning:
Stick around after the panel to start sketching and mapping out your garden plans. We’ll have:
• Garden planning paper
• Reference materials and inspiration
• Local experts on hand for advice
Food & Drink:
Make it a full experience—Smokd’s authentic BBQ and Big Eddy Brewing’s craft beer will be available for purchase throughout the evening. Non-alcoholic and vegetarian options will be available.

Tusten Heritage Community Garden
One of Sullivan County’s longest-running community gardens, the Tusten Heritage Community Garden, fosters education and engagement through free workshops, organic gardening initiatives, native plant conservation, and youth programs. The garden provides a space for locals, scout troops, and aspiring gardeners to grow healthy food while supporting pollinators and biodiversity. Ask us about our available garden plots or volunteer opportunities for the summer 2025 season.
